Panathinaikos BC announces that the team will be travelling to China from the 11th to the 17th of September 2013, in view of the team's strategic moves for commercial development in the area. The trip will be including at least one game against Foshan Long Lions of CBA (Chinese Basketball Association), press conferences and many other promotional events in the cities the team will be touring. These cities are Guangzhu, Foshan and Beijing.
The purpose of the tour is the further recognition of the team's brand name in China, so as for the team to create closer bonds in the market of the most populated country in the world, but also the boost of the Greek and European Basketball.
Panathinaikos BC will be the first European team to be participating in a friendly game on Chinese soil versus a team from the National Championship of China. It is certainly a pioneering move, which steers in the correct direction of development and extroversion of an athletic establishment. It is granted that other European clubs will be following down the same path in the future.
Preparing and actually committing the trip are two goals hard to achieve, but we believe that the result will bear justice to us. Details concerning the tour will be announced shortly.
