Panathinaikos BC actively participated in the initiative of the Hellenic Red Cross to collect humanitarian material for the earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria.
In particular, in the last couple of home games of our team in OAKA, against Valencia Basket (10/2) and Prometheas Patras (13/2), humanitarian aid (long-lasting food, sleeping bags, blankets and personal hygiene items) was collected in order to send it immediately to those affected by the devastating earthquake.
Our fans' correspondence was heartwarming, as was the contribution of PAO BC Academy, which participated with particular eagerness in this entire effort.
It is noted that the H.R.C., in cooperation with the Turkish and Syrian Red Crescent, continues to collect long-lasting food (evaporated milk, milk powder for children, canned goods of all types, cereals, nuts, flour, pasta, etc. ), as well as sleeping bags, blankets (not used) and personal hygiene items from the following points:
