D. Verginis: “Concentration and good spirit”

This year is the second one for Dimitris Verginis in Panathinaikos and Zlatibor. He knew what to expect and he admits that things were easier the second time around: “The first part of our preparation has been completed and all the players gave their best effort. We practiced well all these days at the basketball court, but also on our physical condition. We have already played three friendly games. Our opponents weren’t so strong, but the important for us is that we were concentrated in our game, we had the will to play for the team and we managed to show something positive on the court. We have three more games here, before heading back to Athens and our goal is to be serious in these games too. We want to get together as a team, expecting of course four more players to be added soon: The four players that played for the National Team in Poland. Personally, I feel much better this year. I am in familiar territory, I have adjusted in the way everything works in the team and in what the coaching stuff asks from us. The situation here is not something new for me and it helps me to demonstrate something better than last year”.
