Panathinaikos-Radnicki Kragujevac 72-60

Panathinaikos got another positive result in Serbia by beating Radnicki Kragujevac 72-60 in the first day of the tournament in Vrnjaska Banja.

The ‘greens’ started off on the right foot, allowing Radnicki to score only 9 points in the first quarter. The same effort on the defensive end resulted to 48-25 at the half time. The second half brought along some turnovers and lack of concentration at certain parts of the game. Radnicki tried to take advantage of everything Panathinaikos was giving away, getting closer, but could never be a real threat on the scoreboard, with the game coming to an end with the final 72-60.

Zeljko Obradovic, Panathinaikos’ coach, quoted after the game: “We had two faces tonight. We played very well in the first half of the game, but we weren’t as effective during the second one. These games help the team to get together and they help us to come to a conclusion who are the players that can help us through the year”.
