Pedoulakis: “We saw things we wanted”

Argyris Pedoulakis and the entire technical staff of Panathinaikos in general, spotted quite a few positive aspects after the end also of the second friendly game of the Sofia tournament, as they also noticed quite some areas in which the team must continue to work upon.

“It was a really tough friendly game for us, having to commit two encounters in two days, also having shortcomings, especially in guards department. We had few players to manage to nail a pleasing rotation and also rest our guys. We actually had cases of players having played 35 minutes in each game, like Maciulis. It was obvious after 30’ that fatigue kicked in. We were not that good in backcourt. But in general, we saw certain things we wanted to see. Some of our players have little European experience at this level and we know that when we incorporate certain players who are missing, margins of improvement will expand even further. I am satisfied in a sense that the team is trying to perform under discipline, everyone is trying to help one another out. We were good at our passing game, even though we were lacking our two point guards, an issue quite important to us. We still need to work on creating unison and tend to details, both only natural. We did enjoy positive aspects to our game; we will watch the negative parts also on video so as to further improve in practice”.
