It was quite an easy afternoon for Panathinaikos across from Ilissiakos in Basket League OPAP game 5 at the indoor OAKA arena, more than apparent from final score 101-49.
The good start held fast. 7-0 (3’13’’) was more than a good beginning. Panathinaikos endured versus Ilissiakos, had velocity which gradually it geared up, was in a good mood, fact showing up so much in defense as in rebounds. All the Greens aided for the gap to reach double digits early in the game (7-17, 7’18’’),first quarter to rest teams at this very distance (23-13).
Second quarter was strictly Panathinaikos matters. The partial 28-5 the clover gallop to is best proof of all that took place on the floor during this period of time. The ante was upped to 20 points (33-13, 15’18’’) behind back to back dunks from Gaios Skordilis, Mike Bramos to lead to +33, half time green edge (51-18).
Images on court failed to change in the least. Only one team seemed to be competing on the floor. Panathinaikos cruised to +40 (62-22, 24’10’’), a triple drilled by Charis Giannopoulos led to +49 (76-27, 29’) third quarter to rest at 78-29. The gap expanded all the way to +53 (99-46, 39’), curtains to drop in the court at 101-49.
