Rethymno Aegean got in a very dymanic start and got the lead by 5 (20-15, 9'30''), with the first quarter closing 20-17. The situation was the same during the second period, when the hosts extended the lead by 9 (31-22). Argyris Pedoulakis' players improved their performance a little before the end of the third quarter. They tied the game (53-53, 28') and they got the lead (58-56, 30'). Dimitris Diamantidis got into the game in the fourth quarter for the first time, Panathinaikos remained in control and lead to the final 77-83.
