Pedoulakis: “We were serious, we need work”

Argyris Pedoulakis, expressed his satisfaction for the way Panathinaikos performed in the quarterfinal of the Greek Cup, against Rethymno Aegean.

“We were very serious today. This is the way we must be in every game. The encounter against Rethymno Aegean was very important for us, because it was a knock-out game and it was decisive about our course in the certain competition. The most important thing is to be focused in defense. And this time we were. Especially in the third quarter, when we forced our opponents to turnovers, with us establishing a big lead. But, we are not ready yet and we have a lot of work to do. The truth is that we were focused and we played as a team. All players need to work, especially the new ones, although they seem to be on the right path. About Loukas (Mavrokefalidis); we wanted to put him on the roster today, in order to acclimate. The doctors will tell us when he is going to be ready”.

Nikos Pappas stated: It was our first official game. It made sense that we were a little stressed. We paid the attention the game deserved and we managed to get the result we wanted”.
