Pedoulakis: "We were nervous and we had bad range"

The agitation the team showed on the court and the many missed shots were two of the basic elements that led Panathinaikos to the defeat against Maccabi at Tel Aviv, according to Agyris Pedoulakis

"Maccabi was better. They controlled the game. We were feisty, but we didn't have the necessary patience in offense, missing a lot of lay ups. We tried to rebound better, but the turnovers we made in crucial moments, allowed Maccabi to get the win. We were nervous and we paid for it. We are judges as a team and not as units. Everything is about the team. We had certain problems, but we much be judges as a team".

When asked about the 18 offensive rebounds Panathinaikos got, and the missed shots (14/37 2pts, 7/29 3pts), Pedoulakis notes: "To have a lot of offensive rebounds, means you have a lot of missed shots. We missed a lot of lay ups and it had a lot to do with us missing the game".

Fotsis: "We'll improve with hard work"

Antonis Fotsis stated about the game: "We played in a tough homecourt. We entered the game a little loose and it cost us. When you give space to Maccabi and you allow them to find their rhythm, it's difficult to turn things around. We tried to... We cut the margin many times, we got close, but Maccabi was focused and they knew how to get the positive result. We improve day by day. We all know that we don't play the way we could play, according to our potential. We are going to manage it only through tough work and all together in order to get the team where it deserves to be. There is no button that you can push it and change everything. We have to keep on working all together, in order to get where we want to be".
