"Stephane's injury leaves us with a bitter taste"

Argyris Pedoulakis appeared at the press conference of Panathinaikos-Panionios game, satisfied by the way his team performed during the second half of the game, but also puzzled by Stephane Lasme's injury.

"Our main goal was to get the W and also to find our rhythm. We wanted to split the time to all players and to help some of them to get into the rhythm of the team. Panionios gave us the long range shooting, but we missed all our shots. In the second half we pressed them more in defense, we played with Jonas at "4" and we forced Panionions to commit turnovers. It was something that allowed us to score easy points. Panionios has a good team, it's something that everybody can see by the results they get in EuroCup. The only bitter taste comes from Stephane Lasme and his injury. He was getting back to rhythm these last ten days. He has put up a serious effort after all these months he couldn't play. I wish it's nothing serious. He went to the hospital to undergo examinations".

Roko Leni Ukic, noted: "It was a very important game for us, because we need to find our rhythm. We had some problems in the beginning of the season. We use every single detail of each and every game in order to improve constantly. Today, we were really good in defense in the second half and that helped us to get the win".

Giannis Sfairopoulos (coach, Panionios), stated: "We came here trying to be competitive. It's always difficult to be competitive for a big part of the game, when you play in OAKA. It's something that was proven today too. In the first half, and up to minute 25, we demonstrated what we wanted on the floor. We made one turnover after the other, we had five consecutive offenses that we didn't execute well, Panathinaikos got to some easy baskets and that was it. We were out of the game. Panathinaikos got a fair win, although the final margin doesn't reflect what happened in the game. Congratulations to Argyris and to Panathinaikos. I wish them all the best and I hope that Lasme's injury is not serious. We have back to back games and we have to correct our mistakes and to be more focused. We must not desert our game plan".

Vassilis Kavvadas, noted: "Congratulations to Panathinaikos for the victory. We came here to fight and to be competitive. We achieved our goal for 25 minutes. After that we deserted our game plan. We have to correct our mistakes heading to difficult games in Greece and Europe".
