Argyris Pedoulakis was satisfied by the way Panathinaikos performed in the second half against Kolossos Rhodes, as he stated at the press conference, after the game in Venetokleio.
"Kolossos had a plan, throughout the game, to let the open shots. We have talked about that, it was in our plans, but we didn't function well as a team. We were not focused and we didn't have energy, especially in the first half. It's something you can see in rebounds, especially the offensive rebounds. During the second half, at least we operated in the right way, we played with patience in offense and we found a better rhythm in close out situations. We got a big lead in the third quarter and we managed to finish the game. I wish coach Priftis and Kolossos Rhodes, good luck".
Vladimir Jankovic stated: "We were rather loose in the beginning of the game and not that focused. During the game we played stronger and we came out on the floor for the second half to play the way we want to play. Furthermore, we are coming of a long trip and we have ahead of us two big games. We have to prepare ourselves in the best possible way. I wish Kolossos good luck".
Dimitris Priftis (coach, Kolossos) noted: "Congratulations to Panathinaikos for the win. When a stronger team, faces a weaker team it's a matter of the strong one on how the game will evolve. We found space in the first half and we were competitive. In the third quarter it was up to Panathinaikos. They were serious and focused. They moved the ball better and they had better choices, plus they made the open shots. For us it was a tough fortnight with the two injured players in our frontline, plus the absence of Aggelos Tsamis. These are absences that can hurt you not only during games, but also in your daily routine in a team. The league is tough, we are going to keep on moving step by step. For the first time after many years the results present such an interest. Of what it seems we'll know the situation in the last places of the classification only in the end. I wish the best for coach Pedoulakis and Panathinaikos in Greece and in Europe".
Giorgos Danas (player, Kolossos), stated: "It was a tough week for our team, because we had a lot of injuries and absentees in the practice. I believe that we entered the game determined to give our best and not to give Panathinaikos the right to underestimate us. I believe that we fought. Congratulations to our opponents for a fair win and I wish them good luck".
