The head coach of Panathinaikos BC OPAP said after the game against Zalgiris Kaunas: "Congratulations to Zalgiris. In general, we lost the game because of free throws and rebounds. In the last play before overtime we allowed 3 offensive rebounds. But we lost the game because in the first half we did not play at all, we did not play defense, we did not understand the game. Also, because we started by making only one two-point shot in the first quarter. We did not keep calm, we played out of control, and that is why in the first 20 minutes Zalgiris was much better than us. In the second half we were in the game, we fought, we played better on defense and offense, with more control of the game and with fewer mistakes. We had a 74-70 lead, but in one low-post defense Zalgiris got free throws, they used our mistake on the other possession, and that’s also a reason why the game finished like it did."
