Argyris Pedoulakis spoke at the press conference after the game against Trikala, stating happy for the desire his players demonstrated on the court.
"We had one more game in just 48 hours. We were consistent, but at some points during the game it was like we were turning off the machines, because of the fatigue, but also the cold inside the arena. Maciulis got a chance to rest, Diamantidis played just to sweat his jersey. We are happy for the desire and the will the players demonstrated. All of them are in our plans".
Loukas Mavrokefalidis stated: "Like every team playing against Panathinaikos, Trikala had extra motive. We had our ups and downs, but at the end we were focused and we won".
Mavrokefalidis was asked about the presence of the Greek National Team of Men in the upcoming 2014 FIBA World Cup: "Although it's very early to talk about it, I believe that it's a good think that we secured our place in the competition".
Kostas Flevarakis (coach, Trikala), noted: "I don't believe that we demonstrated that extra motive Mavrokefalidis talked about. Nevertheless there are some positive signs in the second and third quarters. When you play against such a quality team, you have to play the toughest possible. We were soft. Congratulations to Panathinaikos for its course. I am optimistic that its course will continue in the right path. I wish the best, especially for his course in Euroleague. We have some important games ahead of us and going soft once again on the court, is not an option".
Chris Evans (player, Trikala) stated: "It was a tough game. We managed to cut the margin in the third quarter by scoring behind the arc. During the fourth quarter we made a lot of turnovers that didn't allow us to claim something better".
