Panathinaikos: Greek Cup Winner 2014

Panathinaikos is the Greek Cup Winner 2014! For the 15th time in its history, the clover reached the top by edging 90-53 Aris, at the Herakleio Indoor Arena (Dyo Aorakia). The impressive 50-13 that was recorded during the second half led the Greens to celebrate the 55th title in the club's history.

Panathinaikos entered the game with Diamantidis, Ukic, Bramos, Fotsis and Mavrokefalidis. After the initial 0-2, the Greens led 5-2 (2') and 7-4 (2'20''), with Dimitris Diamantidis and Roko Leni Ukic. Aris tight the game (7-7 2'50'', 10-10 4'), before taking the lead (13-15). Nikos Pappas and Jonas Maciulis scored to 18-15 (8'50''), while Ramel Curry and Antonis Fotsis helped for a 7-0 (25-18). Aris was present, tight the game again (25-25, 13'56'') and led all the way to 33-38 (17'50'') and later on to 35-40 (18'20''). Panathinaikos was the one to tight the game to 40-40 at halftime.

Curry and Fotsis were there to lead the way. Three 3pointers made were enough for a +9 (49-40, 21'40''). Diamantidis, Batiste, Fotsis (again), Maciulis with 8 point in 2 minutes and Stephane Lasme helped to expand the margin to +30 (78-48, 33'15''). A shot behind the arc from Nikos Pappas made it to +38 (87-49, 37'20''). The final 90-53 sealed the win for Panathinaikos. Ramel Curry was the first scorer and the MVP of the Greek Cup Final 2014.
