Fragkiskos Alvertis a symbol for Panathinaikos and Greek Basketball, who played for 19 years under only one jersey, was hosted at the Athletic Center "Mimis Tsikinas" of YMCA in Thessaloniki. Alvertis still serves as a coach in Panathinaikos.
The 40 year old coach, being in Thessaloniki for the Basket League OPAP Day 24 against PAOK in Thessaloniki, visited the museum with his assistant on Panathinaikos' bench, Sotoris Manolopoulos. Giorgis Bousvaros was the one who guided them around, along with Lakis Tsavas. Fragkiskos Alvertis shared his impressions by writing at the YMCA visitors' book. "It was a pleasant one hour trip in time. I wish to thank the people here in the YMCA for the invitation. It's important to respect and honor the history of basketball. Congratulations for the effort". Alvertis will donate to the museum his jersey of the Greek National Team.
YMCA congratulated Panathinaikos for the qualification in Euroleague Play Offs and wished the Greens to achieve their goals.
