It's a familiar place for Dimitris Diamantidis. He is at the first place of yet another category in the history of Euroleague. With his 5th assist in the 3rd Euroleague Play Offs game against CSKA Moscow he reached 978 final passes and he is the all time leader in assists!
Diamantidis surpassed Theo Papaloukas who was in the first place with 977 assists in 252 games. Panathinaikos' captain reached the 978 assists in 223 games. Diamantidis is getting ready for another record. He has dished 170 assists this season and he needs only one more in order to be the player who has dished more assists in one season.
Beside all these with 1/1 three point shot against CSKA he became just the 8th player in Euroleague to reach 300 three point shots made. Diamantidis is also the all time leader in steals in Euroleague (836) and the only guard with more than 100 block shots (105).
