Dimitris Diamantidis is the MVP of Basket League OPAP 2013-14, while at the same time he is part of all Basket League Team.
Panathinaikos' captain got 95 points in the voting for the MVP, 20 more than the second placed DJ Cooper (PAOK).
Diamantidis was voted 37 times and in 25 times of them he was the first choice. At the same time he gathered 28 voted for the All Basket League team for the best guards of the season.
"It's an honor and I wish to thank everybody who estimated that I am worthy of this title", Diamantidis quoted, only to add: "I will repeat something that I know I have said in the past, but at the same time it's the essence of what we do: What counts are the team's titles. The fact that we managed to close yet another season celebrating two titles, which is very important. Panathinaikos added two more titles in its decorated history and that's what counts. This is what history mentions and through the titles the team conquers, an athlete can enjoy individual titles as well".
