Today (Sept 10), Panathinaikos BC and Novasports Channels hosted a joint press conference to announce their collaboration, which includes the TV broadcast of Panathinaikos home games in the 2014/2015 Greek League. Novasports Channels remain faithful to their promise to offer the Greek fans TV coverage of all the tournaments in which their team takes part. The millions of fans of Panathinaikos, the 6 times European Champion and holder of 56 trophies overall, will have the opportunity to watch their favorite team’s matches via Novasports Channels.
Nova’s Chief Content and Platform Officer, Ms. Katerina Kaskanioti, stated: “We welcome the six times European Champion, Panathinaikos, in the Novasports Channels family and we promise a new season with rich content, full of strong emotions and surprises.”
Panathinaikos BC Vice-President, Mr. Manos Papadopoulos, said: “I would like to express my great satisfaction with this important deal not only because Novasports Channels will broadcast basketball matches, but also because the broadcaster really cares about the sport. I wish this collaboration to last for many years.”
Panathinaikos captain, Dimitris Diamantidis, said: “This is a great moment for the club as well as for Novasports Channels and the Greek Basketball. Regarding the dire economic straits in which the country and the domestic sports are, this cooperation is more than welcome and we would like to thank Nova for this move.”
