2015 is well in and today in a family atmosphere Panathinaikos BC held its annual traditional cutting of the New Year’s cake at the house of Dimitris Giannakopoulos. The historical leader of Panathinaikos Pavlos Giannakopoulos and his wife Despoina an also all players were present, their families, the technical staff, all who are close to the team and the office’s employees. Dimitis Giannakopoulos was the one to cut the cake wishing all “health and successes” to all present, the Panathinaikos hymn playing in the background. The four lucky coins that are baked in the cake (as Greek tradition would have it) were recovered by Esteban Batista, Fragkiskos Alvertis, the wife of Dimitris Diamantidis, Verina and Manos Papadopoulo's daughter.
