The Euroleague’s CSR program “One Team” - Basketball is Everywhere, where Panathinaikos BSA participates, continued yesterday in the Juvenile Detention at Corinthos.
Giorgos Papagiannis, became the third "ambassador" of the program, after Giorgos Diamantakos and Michalis Lountzis, visited Corinthos, played basketball with the inmates (aged 15-18) and mostly inspired all for cooperation and teamwork. Young guys participated willingly in the program and renewed the appointment with the team next week.
"It is a very interesting experience for me to be part of the program" Basketball is Everywhere ". It's something special. Ι learned from the employees of the Juvenile Detention at Corinthos, that from the day which started the program "Basketball is Everywhere" the young guys show big interest for the basketball and play whenever they have the opportunity, "said Papagiannis continued: "I would be very happy if I learn that these children were integrated back into society and achieved their goals."
Papagiannis sent a message to the next "ambassador" of the program - «Basketball is everywhere», Anthonis Koniaris: "I want to tell him to be himself".
The young inmates had their first acquaintance with the program. Panathinaikos will participate with 7 players in eight weeks that will last.
Through its own program «Basketball is everywhere», the Panathinaikos rewards social sensitivity, the value of cooperation and passes multifaceted social messages.
