On Tuesday noon, June 30, Panathinaikos BC hosted a press conference in the OAKA press room to announce the establishment of the PAO BC ACADEMY and present the sponsors and supporters of this undertaking to the public. Microsoft, Adidas, Hellenic Seaways (https://www.hellenicseaways.gr/), a Greek maritime company, APC Sports Consulting (www.apc-sport.com), a sports business organization, DPG Digital Media, a digital media company, and HYGEIA Hospital (http://www.hygeia.gr/default.aspx), a private hospital, are the backers of the PAO BC ACADEMY.
It is a dream come true in very difficult circumstances for Greece with the goal to develop the next generations of players for Panathinaikos BC and the Greek National Basketball Team.
Fraghiskos Alvertis, a living legend of the club, will the PAO BC ACADEMY director.
The PAO BC ACADEMY will open its doors on September 5 at the OAKA All Stars Arena (http://allstarsarena.gr/).
