Panathinaikos Athens bounced back from its last road loss by pulling out a convincing 85-99 win against ALBA Berlin at Mercedes Benz Arena on Friday night. The Greens displayed an incredible offensive performance in the first half, scoring 60 points and opening a 13-point advantage that ALBA could not reduce to less than 6 points in the second half.
PAO was led by Dinos Mitoglou, who posted a double-double of 24 points and 10 boards, good for a PIR of 30. Marius Grigonis followed with 16 points, Kostas Sloukas had 14 plus 6 assists, and Luca Vildoza netted 13 points on 4-of-4 from behind the arc. With this win, Panathinaikos improves to 3-4.
Sterling Brown paced ALBA with 17 points, Jonas Thiemann got 16 and Gabriele Procida provided 12 points for ALBA, which slips to 1-6.
