The hosts produced another solid performance on defense that caused plenty of problems for the Italian side. With its fifth straight win at home, PAO improved to a 15-9 record, while Milan dropped to 10-14.
Marius Grigonis paced Panathinaikos with 15 points, with Juancho Hernangomez and Mathias Lessort scoring 12 each. Panagiotis Kalaitzakis and Kendrick Nunn netted 10 apiece. For Milan, Shabazz Napier led all scorers with 16 points and Nikola Mirotic added 11.
Pushed by a passionate home crowd, Panathinaikos dominated from the off and took a 21-16 lead into the second quarter. The hosts outscored Milan 23-12 in the second and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half to clinch a comfortable victory.
