Panathinaikos fends off battling Bayern, 75-82
Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens (22-11) edged closer to a top-four finish in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season after a 75-82 win at FC Bayern Munich (13-20), whose hopes of sneaking into the competition's play-in were vanquished.
The Greens will be assured of clinching home-court advantage if they beat bottom team ALBA Berlin (5-28) at home in the final round, as Kendrick Nunn led a concerted team effort against Bayern with 17 points and 4 rebounds.
Juancho Hernangomez scored 14 points for the visiting team, Mathias Lessort added 13 to go with 5 rebounds while Kostas Sloukas racked up 12 points, 7 assists and 6 boards. At the other end, Nick Weiler-Babb paced Bayern with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from downtown, Serge Ibaka posted 14 points and 7 boards while Leandro Bolmaro and Vladimir Lucic scored 11 points each for the home side.
