Panathinaikos AKTOR suffered a defeat against Zalgiris Kaunas (84-77) in Lithuania during Round 11 of the EuroLeague. Kendrick Nunn was the Greens' top scorer with 19 points.
Zalgiris Kaunas established an early lead, reaching an 11-point advantage (20-9) by the 6th minute. Although Panathinaikos AKTOR momentarily cut the deficit to single digits (20-14 at the 8th minute), the gap widened again to +10 (28-18) at the end of the first quarter.
Despite the efforts of the Greens, the Lithuanian team extended their lead to +18 (44-26) by the 15th minute. However, Panathinaikos AKTOR improved defensively and found better shooting efficiency toward the end of the first half, reducing the deficit to 7 points (49-42) at halftime.
At the start of the second half, the Greens closed the gap further (55-54 at the 24th minute) and even took the lead briefly (57-59 at the 27th minute). Nevertheless, the third quarter ended with Zalgiris Kaunas back in front (65-63).
Throughout the fourth quarter, the home team maintained their advantage (71-66 at the 32nd minute and 78-70 at the 36th minute), resulting in a road loss for Panathinaikos AKTOR at the Zalgirio Arena.
