Panathinaikos extended their unbeaten series to 13-0 after a comfortable win against Panellinios in Kipseli by 94-67. The European Champions had an excellent performance for the full 40 minutes and was in control in both defense and offense – except for a few minutes in the end of the first half when some slackness allowed Panellinios to reduce the margin to 6 points (30-36)! Led by Dimitris Diamantidis and with Becirovic, Spanoulis, Zizic helping out in offense, PAO took a 27-16 lead in the end of the first period but the zone defense used by Panellinios caused a few problems. As a result, the team from Kipseli closed the gap to 30-36 in the 17th. During the last two minutes PAO had an 11-0 run and ended the first half ahead by 14 (34-48) – a margin fully picturing the difference between the two teams. The second half was a one-team game with Panathinaikos taking a 47-75 lead in the 30th and prematurely ending the game. Zeliko Obradovic used all his players with Frangiskos Alvertis scoring a buzzer three pointer – his 600th in the A1 league!
