Four more players in Zlatibor

The preparation of Panathinaikos will continue with the addition of the four players that were part of the Greek National Team. Dimitris Diamantidis, Kostas Tsartsaris, Antonis Fotsis and Vassilis Spanoulis departed today at 17.15 from “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport and tomorrow they will practice for the first time this year with their teammates in Panathinaikos. The player that will follow will be Sarunas Jasikevicius on Sunday.

Vassilis Spanoulis said before taking off to Belgrade: “A new season begins with the same goals for us, since we want all the titles that are in stake. It was a strange summer with the Olympic Qualifying Tournament and then the Olympic Games, but now our mind is set only to Panathinaikos. We know that we have a period of hard work ahead of us and we must give our best to be able to leave up to the expectations for the new season”.

Kostas Tsartsaris added: “We have a tough year ahead of us, with hard competition but we must be ready, because we have set big goals as we do every single year. We are tired, but it’s not a new situation for us. We want to go to Zlatibor to work hard so that we can celebrate at the end of the season”.

Antonis Fotsis stated: “We are going to Zlatibor to meet the other guys, to start working with the team. We have a tough year ahead of us with high expectations in Greece and in Europe. We are going to work hard in order to achieve our goals at the end of the season”.
