Fragkiskos Alvertis, the coach of Panathinaikos, stated at the press conference after the end of Game 5 for Euroleague play offs at Moscow.
"Congratulations to CSKA Moscow for the victory and its qualification to the Final Four. We made a big effort in the two games in Athens and today it was like we were empty. We had our chance, but we never became part of the game. We did absolutely nothing. With the exception of Game 2 and 5 my players gave everything they had, for an enormous effort. Europe is over for us and now we are looking ahead".
Ettore Messina (coach, CSKA M.) stated: "We reached a big win against a big opponent with an excellent coach. Although he is a rookie he managed to puzzle us and he made our lives difficult. Up until now we faced great teams and I believe we did well. I want to congratulate my players for their passion, something it was obvious by the way we played in defense. I would also like to thank the administration and the president for their support after the two defeats in Athens and our fans too. It was great to play at home. Finally I have to congratulate my colleagues for the great work they did".
