Panathinaikos waved goodbye to Euroleague for this season. The final score was 74-44, and CSKA Moscow won the Euroleague Play Offs series by 3-2 and gave the Russians the ticket to the Final Four.
The Russians got the lead from minute one. The led by 7 early in the game (11-4, 6'15''), before Jonas Maciulis and Antonis Fotsis step up to make a two points game (11-9, 7'45''). CSKA used a partial 10-1 to make it to 21-10 (11'). Loukas Mavrokefalidis was there and seemed to be able to save the day for the Greens. He cut the lead to 3 points (21-18, 13'30''), Mike Bramos was sharp behind the arc (16-21, 16'30''), but the hosts with a 9-0 led to 35-21 at the half time.
Diamantidis connected twice with Lasme (37-27, 22'), but from that point on, Panathinaikos lost the connection with the game itself. The margin went all the way to 21 points (48-27, 26'30'') and CSKA Moscow went on to the same rhythm to 63-36 (33'15'') and made it a 30point game for the first time at 39' (72-42), before the final 74-44
