Fragkiskos Alvertis was satisfied by the way Panathinaikos performed against Apollon Patras for the first Play Offs Game at OAKA, as he stated at the press conference after the encounter.
"It was important for us to divide the time among all players. We periodically performed well. We had 25 assists, proof that we played well in offense. We want to finish the series in 2-0, in Patras and to continue working heading to the finals".
James Gist (player, Panathinaikos), stated: "We want to be as aggressive as we could be and to play with rhythm. Euroleague is over for us, play offs are here. We are very ambitious. We have to prepare ourselves for the game in Patras. We want to win there too, in order to finish the series".
Nikos Vetoulas (coach, Apollon P.) stated: "Panathinaikos was serious and focused since the first quarter. They got a big margin and everything was over early in the game. We couldn't react, with the exception of the second quarter. In the fourth quarter young kids from both teams took the floor. Panathinaikos had an easy afternoon. We shall try to play better for us and for our fans in the next game, which will probably be our last for the season. We want to gain more things from Ross and Wilson, since we are a team which is based in its American players".
Vassilis Niforas (player, Apollon P.) stated: "It was a tough afternoon for us, something we already knew. We tried to remain focused, but we didn't achieve this goal. We will try to be more competitive in the next game".
