Fragkiskos Alvertis expects his team to improve, prior to the third semifinal game as he stated at the press conference following the second game against PAOK.
"It was another difficult game for us. We had a bad first half. In the second half we corrected our mistakes, we scored more and we got the victory. We have to improve in order to be ready for the finals and to present two times more careful in Thessaloniki. There are no easy games. Beside all the technical things every games has two halfs and it was clear that they were totally different tonight too. We decided to play with more energy in the second half and this changed everything. Don't forget that in the first half we were 1/13 behind the arc. We missed a lot of shots".
Mike Bramos (player, Panathinaikos) stated: "It was a very tough game tonight. PAOK played really well. We weren't focused in the first half, but we improved in the second. We focused in defense and that led us to the victory. Now, we are going to Thessaloniki to win and to advance to the finals".
Soulis Markopoulos (coach, PAOK), stated: "Congratulations to Panathinaikos for the victory. We wanted to be competitive and we were in both games. Congratulations to my players for their effort against a big opponent and in a home court that all big European teams have "kneeled". Panathinaikos is a very big team in Greece and in Europe and knows how to respond to difficulties. Our players are very tired".
Michalis Liapis (player, PAOK), stated: "We were competitive in both games, but for different reasons we didn't manage to get a win. We have two games in our home. We have to try to win and we'll be back here to see who will be in the finals".
