According to Dusko Ivanovic, Panathinaikos showed two faces in the game against Kolossos on the island of Rhodes. At the press conference after the match the Clover’s coach noted: “In today’s match I believe we showed two faces. There were moments where we played good defense and scored in fast breaks, but, as in previous matches, there were also moments where we didn’t play good defense, didn’t take the rebounds and didn’t have a quick transition to defense. When our play became loose, Kolossos, which is a good team with good players, took the chance and got close. ”
Vladimir Jankovic said: “We didn’t have much time to prepare for the game against Kolossos Rhodes. We know that all the teams want to win Panathinaikos when they play at home. We took the match seriously and we were concentrated for 40 minutes. Now, we’ll focus on the next game.”
Kolossos coach Michalis Koutalianos stated: “Today, we played against a great and experienced opponent, the Greek champions. We haven’t yet managed to stabilize our performances, because in the preparation period we didn’t play strong friendly matches. In general, I believe we’re on the right track and we’ll keep the good things from today’s match. I’d like to wish Panathinaikos good luck without injuries.”
Kolossos guard Yannoulis Larentzakis said: “We started the game well, but in the second period Panathinaikos scored all their shots and we couldn’t react.”
