Panathinaikos head coach Dusko Ivanovic talked at the press conference after the home game against Panionios BC:
“After the game in Turkey, I wanted to know what exactly our attitude is. Because, after our performance there, I had some doubts. We didn’t play well there, but that’s not the most important. Sometimes you play well, sometimes not –– that’s sports. The most important is to have the right attitude towards the game. Today we had it. Panionios is a very good team, but our preparation for the match was very good, especially mentally. In sports it’s important to know who you really are and that’s what we wanted to know after the game against Fenerbahce. This match put our feet on the ground and that’s the desired attitude. I wish good luck to Panionios. I enjoyed the Fans Day. I hope that it will happen again and that the fans will keep coming to the stadium.”
Antonis Fotsis represented his teammates: “Today we had a difficult game against Panionios, a very good team. We made a very good beginning and played at our pace. We got a win with a big point difference and this makes us happy. I would like to thank the people who came to the arena and supported us –– they do it from the start of the season. I hope that they will keep supporting us and we’ll try to make them happy.”
