Panathinaikos topped Bose Baskets Bamberg after a tough matchup and essentially in the clutch, final score 76-73 at the OAKA indoor arena for THY Euroleague Top16 Game 6.
The image of the first few minutes as far as the score and which team held the reigns in the clash was concerned was what sealed the game down the stretch up to final buzzer. Brose Baskets made sure to bare proof in action of the theory that portrays it as a tough team which fights until the end notwithstanding its trailing in the score or not. Neither team managed to actually escape one another through the entire encounter. The greatest spread Panathinaikos got to was a three point distance (9-6, 3’30’’); both teams went neck and neck at the end of first quarter (19-19). The clover mounted a +5 edge (32-27, 16’40’’) but once more the Germans gnawed their way back into the game to tie (34-34, 19’15’’), the game resting for the recess at 36-33.

The clover struck back once more behind Banks and Lasme (64-61, 36’27’’), it reached +6 (69-63, 38’10’’) behind Diamantidis and Bramos, alas a shot made from beyond the arc by Gipson set the game on fire again (69-66). The game headed into fouling strategy situations, Panathinaikos managing to nail the win, Banks and Maciulis scoring from the line all the way down to final 76-73.
