Winners from the line and MVPappas

Greek Stars edged Rest of the World 123-122 and got the win in the 21st All Star Game, hosted at Chania. An All Star Game which was painted in vivid green colors with Diamantidis sealing the victory and Pappas named MVP of the game.

Panathinaikos' players were in good spirit, acknowledging the fact that the fans were there for a rare opportunity to see them, to see the best of the Greek League in the faces of all the players. The player who got into the spirit earlier than anyone else was Jonas Maciulis. Stephane Lasme and James Gist followed. Gist kept his smile on, even when he was injured. The Greeks followed the same path. Diamantidis was smiling the whole time, Nikos Pappas and Antonis Fotsis were trying to "direct" plays on the court, Mike Bramos and Loukas Mavrokefalidis where there to contribute to the fun and also to the Greeks' victory.

The ending was... adventurous. The referees (Poloidis, Psarianos, Katrahouras) gave a foul on Nikos Pappas, with the players of the Rest of the World complaining. The score was 121-122 for their team with only seconds on the clock. Pappas missed the first free throw, he turned to his bench saying he got injured, calling his captain, Diamantidis, to shoot the other two, since the foul was on a three point play. Diamantidis was 2/2 from the line and sealed the victory with the final 123-122.
