Panathinaikos BC and Stoiximan.gr, the club’s major sponsor, held today (23/9) at noon at OAKA VIP Lounge a joint press conference to present their “six-star cooperation”.
Panathinaikos BC was represented by Vice-President Manos Papadopoulos, team captain Dimitris Diamantidis, and Chief Operations Officer/Director of Operations Ilias Katsogiannis. Betting site Stoiximan.gr was represented by the company’s board member Ioannis Spanoudakis and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer Panos Konstantopoulos.
Stoiximan.gr board member Ioannis Spanoudakis talked about the deal: “It is a great honor and pleasure for Stoiximan.gr to start our sponsorship activity in cooperation with Panathinaikos BC, to be the Greek Basketball League and Cup holder’s major sponsor. Through this sponsorship we support Greek basketball and, of course, Panathinaikos BC, one of the best ambassadors of our country abroad over the last twenty years. We support Panathinaikos with the six stars on its jersey that stand for the six European Championships, which are added to one Transcontinental Cup and numerous back-to-back Greek Championships and Cups. The timing of this sponsorship cooperation coincides with Panathinaikos BC’s initiative to invest in Greek players, in Greek talent. We have one characteristic in common with Panathinaikos: betting platform Stoiximan.gr also relies exclusively on Greek young people in order to compete with major international betting companies.

When it came to his turn, Panathinaikos captain Dimitris Diamantidis said: “On behalf of my teammates, I would like to express our thanks. As I have told in the past, such investments in basketball are important, especially in these days, and the cooperation between Panathinaikos BC and Stoiximan.gr is an example. I wish that this collaboration will last long. We, on our part, will try to keep Panathinaikos as high as possible.”
Finally, Panathinaikos BC COO/Director of Operations Ilias Katsogiannis noted: “Today’s event is of special importance, since it marks the beginning of our cooperation with Stoiximan.gr.
