After today’s meeting of the Supreme Council for the Solution of Sports Disputes, the penalty that had been imposed upon Panathinaikos after the last of the 2010-11 championship season was mitigated by one competition date, while the fine of 40,000 Euros was also deleted. Therefore, the game between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos in the context of the 5th competition date will take place in the presence of “clover” fans in the arena.
The Panathinaikos’ legal advisor, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, stated: “It was a three-month struggle until the S.C.S.S.D. convened and was able to judge and vindicate Panathinaikos so that the fans would be able to stand by the team in the game against Olympiakos.”
