Dusko Ivanovic, Nikos Pappas and DeMarcus Nelson talked about tomorrow’s game (28/11, 21:00 local time) against Bayern Munich.
Ivanovic: “Decisive Game”
“You all know that our goal is to qualify to TOP 16, so the match against Bayern is decisive. They have a very good team with the well-known German approach of the game: 40 minutes of high intensity play in every game, independent of the result. McCalebb is a quality addition, especially because he is very good at the one-on-one.
“We may win or lose the game, but the sure thing is that we will continue working to improve. You say that there is some pressure on us, but I think it’s positive for us.”
Pappas: “Important Game”
“It is a very important game for us. At the start of the season our goal was to qualify to the TOP 16 and now we have the chance to do it. It will be a win of enormous importance for us. Bayern have a quality roster. We have to be careful in order not to concede easy points as happened in Germany. At OAKA this has to change. We must be concentrated throughout the match and contain all their players, not only McCalebb –– a great addition for Bayern.”
Nelson: “Ordeal”
“All this I am going through is an ordeal for me. It is a very unusual and difficult situation for me psychologically –– being out of action and just watching. I am used to being on the court and playing.
“All this time, I was in contact with the team. I have seen all the games and I like very much the way we play. We play very good defense and it is important that we have many players in great form.
Last week the doctors told me that I can begin half-court training drills. I am now following an individual training routine in order for my condition to be evaluated.”
