Few hours prior to the beginning of the Istanbul FinalFour, a part of the electronic press opted for dealing with Panathinaikos’ administrative issues; this was something that the BSA had scoffed through an announcement, considering it an attempt to disorient the team and its fans from the semifinal against CSKA.
Few hours prior to yesterday’s final once again some electronic media chose the path of misguidance regarding this time not the future of the Giannakopoulos’ family with Panathinaikos, but that of Zelimir Obradovic.
We feel obliged to the millions of Panathinaikos’ fans to put an end to this misinformation crescendo and have the team proceed to Saturday’s final with its mind at peace, by making the decisions of the Giannakopoulos’ family known to the public.
Since no other Panathinaikos has expressed an interest, the Giannakopoulos’ family will remain at the helm of the club in the forthcoming season too, and wishes to get there with Zelimir Obradovic, to build the new era of Panathinaikos.
Zelimir Obradovic is one of the most important cornerstones of the most successful team in the history of Greek sports.
Without a doubt he is one of the most brilliant members of the Panathinaikos’ family and an intrinsic part of Panathinaikos, and is therefore only natural for him to be with us for 13 years; it is our intention to be together with him FOREVER if this is what he also wants.
