Mike Bramos will be a Panathinaikos player for the next couple of years after both concerning parties reached an agreement.
Bramos was born on the 27th of May 1987 in Harper Woods (Michigan, USA). He is 1m98 and he is a shooting guard/small forward. He competed for Gross Pointe North High School and for Miami University. In 2009 he competed for the Detroit Pistons’ NBA Summer League. Later the same year he joined Peristeri and in 2010 he signed for the ACB League club Gran Canaria. Bramos became a member of the National Team of Greece in 2011. He played in Eurobasket 2011 and is now competing in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Venezuela.
Mike Bramos referred to the agreement with Panathinaikos as “a big step forward” in his career: “I am excited. It’s a big step forward for me. Panathinaikos plays in Euroleague, has a great tradition in Europe. Everybody knows what Panathinaikos stands for. The decision was not so difficult for me. It was a no brainer when I saw the team’s interest in me. My personal goal is to present the team with whatever the coach requests from me. Scoring, rebounding, energy, defense… Whatever the team needs. I believe that all the team’s players will do the same thing, in order to create a team that will aim high again. One basic element is the fans of Panathinaikos. All Europe knows about their passion for the team, they always stand by the team and I believe that they will do the same this year, helping out in such a manner only they know. They already know that we’ll do the best possible in order to be able to celebrate titles again, as Panathinaikos does every year”.
