Hilton Armstrong landed right on time at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport and in the afternoon the Panathinaikos center will be participating in the team’s practice at OAKA. Armstrong spoke of his new team, of what he wishes to provide it with but also remarked on the Panathinaikos fans, who have already managed to impress him.
“I know that Panathinaikos is the best team across Europe . It has conquered 6 European Championships in 15 years! I also saw and understood a lot about the Panathinaikos fans, because when I signed with the team many of them contacted me on the internet and have already got me feeling wonderful. It is a special, a really great experience playing for this team. It is a fact, that I am very happy to be a member of such a legendary club. There is great passion here. Basketball in Greece was always at a very high and significant level. I feel great. I am excited to be playing in a team with such a history. I adore playing basketball. It is a team of intense passion. I will give my all; that is my message to the Panathinaikos crowd, I’ll play my heart out and I hope everyone will appreciate it. Every year for me is a challenge; so much in the NBA as in France , as now in Greece . I enjoy a good challenge, to be competitive. I will play real tough and we’ll see what comes of it”.
