Pedoulakis: “Two very good tests”

Panathinaikos will be returning tomorrow afternoon from Germany behind two victories in the pair of friendly games held in Munich, but mainly with many observations for the technical staff to use in all that follows.

Argyris Pedoulakis stressed slightly after the end of the encounter versus Bayern Munich: “These were two very good tests for us. We came to Germany without two of our guards (Kitchen-Giannopoulos) and this caused us problems. It was anyhow apparent when after 30’ we were out of breath and we committed mistakes easily. On the other hand we are very pleased in the fact of us trying to control the rhythm and that we managed it to quite some extent. What we hang onto is that we played good basketball; all the best next to Bayern and Giannis Christopoulos”.

Bayern Muncih head coach, Giannis Christopoulos stated: “I would like to congratulate Panathinaikos on winning this evening, but also Argyris Pedoulakis for all his effort. I believe him to be one of the best Greek coaches. As far as the game is concerned, we tried to exploit certain things in order to control the pace, but we were unable to do so. It is a good thing, us giving out 15 assists, but we must cut back on our turnovers. They are simply too many for this level. We must also be more organized at the crucial points; as was Panathinaikos”.
