Panathinaikos will be facing KAOD in the Greek Cup semifinals. The draw took place today at the HΒF offices; to represent the Greens Panathinaikos BC Vice President Mr. Manos Papadopoulos. The other matchup of the semis provided was Olympiacos-Kavala. The encounters will be held on December 22, while the final has been scheduled for February 17.
Papadopoulos stressed after the draw: “Due to how things are in Greece the last few years titles are challenged in Panathinaikos-Olympiacos or Olympiacos-Panathinaikos battles so there is nothing new in the matter as far as that; meaning that we know, that in order to gain a title you must beat Olympiacos. To our detriment, we are unable to perform in front of a large crowd, it is true. The issue is not if there are going to be 800 or 1,000 fans. Unfortunately we cannot play with 10,000 and it is the only thing sad in the whole deal”.
