Marcus Banks arrived this evening in Athens and tomorrow will be at the indoor OAKA arena gym for Panathinaikos’ training session. The American guard despite the exhaustion from the long hour through London flight of his from the USA , was extremely polite and actually requested if possible to go to the court to throw some hoops!
“I am a bit tired after the long hour flight, but the thing that outshines all is my joy to be here. I am really happy to have made the decision to travel overseas and be here right now. I can’t wait to meet the rest of the guys on the team and to have a great time. When the proposition came from Panathinaikos, the positive response came without me needing to really think about it for long. My goal is this, to win. That is what I came here to do. To give it my all in order for the team to get to the wins it needs. I must admit that I know little about Panathinaikos’ roster. I know certain players and better of all Roko Leni Ukic with whom we had coexisted in the Toronto Raptors”.
Banks arrived in Athens with his cousin Keilin. Tomorrow he will undergo medical examinations and ergometrics tests and in the afternoon he is expected to be present at Panathinaikos’practice.
Sprain for Tsartsaris
Kostas Tsartsaris stood unlucky today. During practice he suffered a sprain to his left leg. His condition will be re-evaluated tomorrow and it will be decided if he will be able to compete across from Real Madrid or not.
