Panathinaikos BC opens its arms in tomorrow’s encounter versus Ikaros Kallithea (19.00) for the children from “The Ark of the World”.
The clover, in view of the Euroleague ONE1TEAM program, collaborates with “The Ark of the World”, the actions of which are well known throughout our country. It is a Non Profitable Foundation which aims to provide assistance to mainly one-parent families that are facing dire issues of survival. The Ark’s support towards these families is multidimensional and includes food supplying, medical care, monthly fund support, child education and professional training and rehabilitation for the parents. Moreover, the Ark maintains two houses of hospitality in which children from early age onto adulthood remain. Educators and people from social services who are next to the children on a daily bases tending to their every need, provide towards their healthy development and education and aim towards forming strong personalities in order for them to build a dignified future. “The Ark of the World’s” actions are based solely on voluntary offer, on the people’s support and love.
70 children in total will be at the OAKA, 24 of which are participating in the Euroleague ONE1TEAM program and have already played ball with Roko Leni Ukic, Jason Kapono, Vassilis Xanthopoulos and Vassilis Charalampopoulos. The kids expect your smile and applause tomorrow.
*Tomorrow, OAKA will also be hosting 63 children from the Parents’ Board of the Haidari 14th Elementary School and 35 kids from Aris Petroupoli- mini team.
