Banks: “The team’s titles are what count”

Marcus Banks received the Ydrogios MVP trophy for BasketLeague OPAP Game Day 21.

The event was held this morning at the HEBA offices, Banks to receive the award from Stavros Maganiaris (“Ydrogios” insurances Head of promotion and advertising). Banks shared the title with Brent Petway who received his trophy from the substitute president of the company, Ioannis Sourlis.

The two players had accumulated 23 points in the ranking system. The Green’s guard was the most valuable player of the encounter versus Peristeri. He competed for 20’59’’, period of time during which he drained 19 points behind 1-for-1 two, 5-for-7 threes, 2-for-2 free throws, gathered 3 rebounds, stole the ball once and dished it twice.

Banks stressed on yet another occasion that “the personal achievements count for nothing” only to add: “Every player aspires towards the titles the team conquers. Those are what count and those are the ones that matter…”
