Panathinaikos’ head coach, Aleksander Djoerdevic, made an official statement after Euroleague draw for 2015-2016 season: “All Euroleague teams have quality and the players are in the top level. So every game is going to be difficult and we have to respect all the teams. As I can see we have some very difficult trips, like Kuban or Kaunas but in general I will use the Greek word “kala”, that means “good”, to describe the situation for us after the result of the draw. I am sure that we will be ready to play good, no matter which team we will face”
As a representative of Panathinaikos’ players, Vlado Jankovic, stated: “We are in a… strange group! Karsiyaka will play for the first time in the Euroleague, while Lokomotiv and Zielona Gora are returning to the highest level after a year of absence. Zalgiris is a traditional power and very dangerous, especially in their home. Barcelona is stable at high levels in recent years. We have to be serious and win all the games in the Olympic Stadium. We have to fight for the win in every game, in and also far away from Athens. I trust my coach and my teammates”
