Euroleague sent a letter to Panathinaikos BC to congratulate them on the successful implementation of the corporate responsibility program One Team – Basketball is Everywhere at a youth detention center in the Greek city of Korinthos.
Michalis Lountzis, Giorgos Papagiannis, Vassilis Charalambopoulos, Giorgos Diamantakos, Antonis Koniaris, and the team’s ambassador for this program, DeMarcus Nelson, visited the youth detention center, played basketball with the juveniles (aged 15-18) and spent some creative time with them in activities revolving around collaboration, team spirit, solidarity and the hope for a better future.
Our athletes were absolutely satisfied with their participation in the corporate responsibility program One Team – Basketball is Everywhere and their interaction with the young detainees. Euroleague congratulated our players on their dedication to a program purpose-built to promote contribution to the community.
Among others, the letter made reference to the absolute success of the program regarding the organization, implementation, methodology, originality of activities and communication to the public.
Euroleague rewarded the continuous focus of Panathinaikos BC on the contribution to the community through the One Team – Basketball is Everywhere program as well as other relevant actions for a better future.
