Stojan Vrankovic was elected by thousands of Panathinaikos’ fans as a member of the best team over the last 25 years, under the voting of www.leoforos.gr website (media sponsor) and he will be in OAKA in the brilliant event "Honouring Our Legacy” on Wednesday, September 23.
The Dalmatian giant, through the official website of Panathinaikos, shared with the fans his feelings and sends a relevant message in his own unique way.
"It is a great honor for me," said Vrankovic on the choice of the fans about the best "green" team of the last 25 years. "In Panathinaikos I played for four years and as I have said many times in the past, it was the best four years of my life. I have beautiful memories and experiences. I played together with great teammates, I met amazing people, our fans were the best and for all that I have lived I have to express a big "thank you" to the wonderful Giannakopoulos family”.
Certainly it is difficult to isolate a moment form four productive and intense emotions for years, but Stojko confesses that one image can not be forgotten. "Of course the Euroleague in Paris in 1996," says the Dalmatian giant. "It was my first Euroleague, it was something huge and also it was Panathinaikos’ first European trophy. We had tried twice in the past but the result was not what we wanted. In Paris we were successful”.
