Nikos Galis is experiencing a special day today. Tonight he is to be honored at the “Alexandrio” arena in a game which will actually be a special rendezvous of great European basketball personas but also of beautiful memories, magic moments for many people, all who love basketball.
The Panathinaikos BC president, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, speaking of Galis, stressed: “Nikos Galis put Greece on the basketball map… He made the whole country walk around holding the orange ball and no matter in what way he is honored it will never be enough. Nick and Dimitris are Greek basketball’s best features during its contemporary history. All who deal with and love basketball owe them a big thank you.
